According to the municipal department of Agriculture and Rural Development export data, Ho Chi Minh city expects to 40-50 million USD ornamental fish from 2016-2020 and ship to 47 countries worldwide. The species are mainly Seven-Coloured fish, neon fish, Siamese fighting fish and so on. The major ornamental fish food brand are Sakura、Ocean free、Sera、Hikari and other local brand.In respect of Koi fish market, Koi farm is the family-owned business and only a few people could run this business. The major Koi farm that start to raise Koi fish in 2007 and export to US in 2014.Aqua master is famous for high cost-performance value and be sold in 15 shops.

There are two major ornamental street in Ho Chi Minh city: Nguyễn Thông street in district 3 and Lưu Xuân Tín street in district 5.Most of shops are run by person and no have chain store.

We visited two Koi farms in Ho Chi Minh city: One is the first import Aqua master Koi food whose name is Brain.

medicine and export Koi fish. He also shared a lot of knowledge and
raising skill with us.
